All the programs of NFOWD are coordinated from its secretariat based at Dhaka. Run by a team of full-time both professional and a pool of volunteers also supports unskilled staff, the work when the need arises. Since its inception in 1991 till 1996 the NFOWD secretariat had been working from the office of Voluntary Health Services Society (VHSS) located at Adabor, Shyamoli. In Early 1997 it moved to Lalmatia and in October 2003, it moved into a new and larger office to its current location also in Lalmatia.
